Job Description

About the Role
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for high volume accounts payable whilst ensuring timely payment of supplier invoices through payment runs. The role focuses on managing and maintaining the AP process including but not restricted to maintenance of the vendor database and the setting up of new vendors and suppliers. The person in this role also assists in the development of policy and procedures and seeks ways of continuous improvement through systems enhancements to improve work efficiencies.

This is a part-time permanent role, working 0.6 EFT, or 22.5 hours per week.  This role is based in the Melbourne CBD.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
•    Qualifications relevant to accounting or bookkeeping
•    At least 3 years’ experience in accounts.
•    Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation would be preferred.

The successful candidate will:
•    Have a Working with Children Check
•    Have the right to work in Australia 
•    Undergo a National Police Check before commencement
