Job Description

About the Role
The Administration Officer for Property and Finance supports operational administration across a range of areas including financial management / bookkeeping (Xero), property maintenance and applications, property record keeping, and safety compliance.  The role works closely with the  Administration Coordinator to ensure general office administration and event logistics, and with the Synod Property and Development Manager (Tas.), and the Presbytery Treasurer to ensure Church communities/congregations are supported and informed.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, based in Launceston. This is a fixed term role for 2 years with the potential for ongoing employment.
 

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or at TAFE certificate level in small business administration, finance, accounting and/or property management is required.
  • Understanding of property management administration, including screening and tracking applications through formal approval processes, contractor induction systems, and reporting systems for legislative compliance requirements essential.
  • Proficient with accounting software Xero 
  • Demonstrated experience with not-for-profit, faith-based organisations preferred
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar role.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be willing to undergo a Criminal History Check
  • Be willing to maintain a Working With Vulnerable People Check
  • Have the right to work in Australia full-time
