Job Description

Our Team
The People and Culture team situated in the new Wesley office precinct provides a full range of human resource management services. The team works closely and collaboratively to support organisational safety, performance and people management through the provision of expert, accurate and timely information and advice. 
 

The role 
The OH&S Coordinator delivers expert information, advice and services including injury management, training, building assessments, governance, monitoring and reporting. The role plays a critical role in advancing occupational safety for all people engaged by the Church. With a strategic hat on, the OH&S Coordinator develops and delivers capability initiatives to promote safety awareness aligned to legislation, policies and procedures.   This role interacts with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff and volunteers in congregations and presbyteries in Victoria and Tasmania to provide up to date employment information and resolve issues.  As part of a skilled team this role contributes to the safe and successful employment outcomes and work environments.

About you
To secure this role you will have:
•    Tertiary qualifications related to OH&S, human resources/psychology or related field. 
•    At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
•    Certificate IV Workplace Assessment and Training essential. 
•    Experience within the not-for-profit sector may be an advantage.
