About The Bethel Centre
The Bethel Centre was established in 1997 to provide support and care for those who have experienced hurt in the course of church life, and to transform how people connect with and care for themselves, each other and their communities.  We offer and create healing opportunities within the Uniting Church for people currently experiencing or having experienced trauma abuse, misuse of power, bullying or hurt within the Church.

About the Role
The Office Administrator supports the administration of the Bethel Centre and the Co-Ordinator. This includes welcoming visitors, clients, taking calls and referring clients, processing accounts, monitoring maintenance needs, organising events, maintaining records and administration systems. 

The role supports information and promotion of the Bethel Centre’s service including maintaining accurate information on relevant social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) and websites, drafting documents and brochures in collaboration with the Centre Coordinator using graphic design applications, such as Canva.

The Office Administrator supports the administration of regular committee meetings. This role maintains good working relationships with the Bethel Centre committee members, the Bethel team and clients.

The role is an on-site office role. Working from home is not available.

This is an ongoing role, part-time of 10 hours per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:30 – 3:00pm inc. a 30-minute meal break). 

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

  • Qualifications in administration, event planning and/or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, with skills in customer service.
  • Experience in Canva, WordPress, website and social media content management is preferred
  • Experience and/or interest in the not-for-profit sector, would be an advantage

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a Working with Children Check
  • Have the right to work in Australia
  • Undergo a National Police Check before commencement
